All Stars FAQ
What is All-Stars?
All-Stars is an opportunity for a selected group of Brownsburg Little League Baseball’s
(BLLB) most competitive players to participate in a tournament(s) against “All-Star”
teams from other leagues.
These teams participate in either BLLB’s district tournament against all-star teams from
other chartered Little Leagues, or in other tournaments against applicable competitive
teams in the area.
Who is eligible for All-Stars?
Players rostered on a Brownsburg Little League Baseball AA, AAA, and Majors division
team during the Spring Rec season who also participated in a minimum number of their
team’s regular season games are eligible.
How are selections made?
Player nominations are determined by the team manager/head coach. Next, the
process for selecting players and coaches for teams by division is outlined below which
is managed by the BLLB Board. The selections process is comprised of:
- BLLB Board Executive
- Player Agent
- Division Director
- Team Managers/head coaches of Division
BLLB Board Executive and Player Agents involved with the applicable division’s
discussion will not participate if their own child is nominated as an all-star in that
division. If there is a conflict, an appropriate BLLB Board Executive and Player Agent
who does not have a player in the division will participate. While the team
managers/head coaches and all-star coach makes the team selections, the outlined
committee is there to assist, answer questions, and to keep the process aligned with
Little League guidelines.
What is the commitment level?
All-Stars require a substantial time commitment, and players/families will be expected to
review and sign applicable documentation outlining as such. Players are expected to
commit to all games and practices until the team is eliminated from tournament play.
All matters pertaining to all-star nominations and player selection shall be kept in
confidence until the league has made official All-Star roster announcements.
